🖥️ Hardware Updates
On June 26th, a one-day hardware event for FHE was organized at Stanford University. Several companies attended and discussed their work on hardware for FHE. If any slide-decks are made available, we will share them on our resources page (FHE.org/resources), so keep an eye out for that!
One of the companies present, Optalysys, also recently announced their LightLocker Node product, an FPGA-based hardware accelerator supporting a custom build of Zama’s TFHE-rs library. Check out their product brief here.
Alongside this, Zama also open-sourced their HPU implementation for the FPGA. See the announcement here.
🎓 Academic Conferences
On June 23-26, the 23rd International Conference on Applied Cryptography and Network Security (ACNS) was held in Munich, Germany. There were several works on FHE presented, including:
Homomorphic WiSARDs: Efficient Weightless Neural Network Training Over Encrypted Data by Leonardo Neumann (UNICAMP), Antonio Guimarães (IMDEA Software Institute), Diego F. Aranha (Aarhus University), Edson Borin (UNICAMP)
Optimal Communication Unbalanced Private Set Union by Alexis Galan (Université Grenoble Alpes), Jean-Guillaume Dumas (Université Grenoble Alpes), Aude Maignan (Université Grenoble Alpes), Bruno Grenet (Université Grenoble Alpes), Daniel S. Roche (United States Naval Academy)
On Proofs of Plaintext Knowledge for the Joye-Libert Encryption Scheme by Benoit Libert (Zama), Thomas Peters (UCLouvain and FNRS)
🎤 Upcoming Meetups
